Cellulose dreams: the search for new means and materials for making ethanol:  The 8/25/07 issue
of Science News reports that no method to extract the cellulose from plant material has been developed.  
Until such a method is developed, biomass conversion of plants other than corn remains beyond our reach.

Range Fuels, Inc. broke ground on the nation's first commercial cellulosic ethanol plant located in Treutlen
County, Georgia, near the town of Soperton. Range Fuels, one of six companies selected by the Department of
Energy (DOE) for financial support in building a commercial cellulosic ethanol plant, will be the first to break
